Why do puppy visits matter?

Puppies are growing dogs with immune systems that are still developing. Because of this, they may be vulnerable to infection, disease, and injury. This makes early vet care essential to protect their lives and happiness.

Not only do these visits provide routine care, but our puppy vets watch your best friend's physical condition, behavior, and nutrition. We help your best friend grow up to be strong and happy.

When should you book your puppy’s first vet visit?

Our veterinarians recommend visiting the clinic with your pup within the same week you bring them home. This initial checkup is to create a health plan, check for parasites, and assess overall health.

The next visit should be at 6-8 weeks of age for their first round of vaccinations and deworming treatments. We can also include your puppy's microchipping within the same visit.

How do we help first-time puppy parents?

We provide comprehensive health checks, a vaccination schedule, training tips, and nutritional guidance. Our vets provide anything you need to help your pup develop in the early years.

Is a home visit better for young puppies?

Home visits can be better as they prevent stress and risk exposure during travel to the clinic. Plus, our home visits are convenient and flexible, making the process smooth and simple.

How long will the visit take?

The session generally takes about 30-60 minutes, which is enough time for routine care, professional advice, and any questions you may have about your puppy.

How can I prepare my puppy for the vet visit?

Keep your puppy calm with gentle handling, bring a comfortable carrier or leash, and offer treats for positive reinforcement.

Do I need to bring anything to the first visit?

Bring any records from the breeder or shelter, a small stool sample for parasite screening, and a list of any questions you may have.

What if my puppy seems sick before their scheduled visit?

If your puppy shows signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or loss of appetite), contact us immediately to schedule an earlier appointment.
